Program Implementation and Design

This program is the special welfare package for the pregnant women and children having age below 02 years, of the BISP beneficiary families, named as Benazir NashoNuma Program. The program provides:

  • 2,000 per quarter per pregnant woman and boy child.
  • Rs 2500/ QtrPer girl child
  • In exchange, recipients agree to:
  • Regular antenatal visits
  • Going through the awareness sessions of pregnancy
  • Taking specialized healthy balanced dietemospecified nutrient food (SNF).
  • Preparations for vaccinations and annual checkups for children.

Project Area and Reach

The program first started in 14 districts and then scaled up across the country. The Benazir NashoNuma Program is currently functioning in 158 districts, maintained through a network of 512 NashoNuma Centres (including mobile sites). This program has so far covered 1,275,800 individuals which includes 645,800 pregnant women and 630,000 children.
