6 More Bank Included in BISP For Faster Payments To Beneficiaries

Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson BISP while talking to media regarding the payment improvements for beneficiaries said, in order to make the payments easier and transparent and reduce the complaints of Point of payment agents in one window operations’ Pakistan Post, BISP is including six more banks. Details of the New Payment Model 2024

Six more banks, for example, Bank Al Falah, Bank of Punjab, Mobilink Microfinance, Telecom Microfinance Bank, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and the HBL Micro financial services department have phased into BISP’s payments distribution matrix. With these collaborations users can transfer money between their banks through smart phones using JazzCash or EasyPaisa. An MOU was signed between the BISP and each of these banks in a ceremony when contracts were also signed by the BISP with different leasing companies. The Managing Director along with his team welcomed the bank officials.

Creating Visibility and refined Graft

In its payment reforms, BISP has developed specific payment sites for ensuring fair and efficient distribution of payments. Experts staffed these parks, providing assistance. To beneficiaries especially women and children who are most vulnerable to abuse and child abuse. Besides this, BISP and the Government’s Office throughout Technology and Information (MOIT) are planning to implement a digital payment system. Transaction processing will also be more streamlined and manageable, thus increasing transparency and reducing fraud at the same time.

The reintroduction of the Poverty Graduation Program

BISP also reverted back another program known as Poor People’s Graduate Program and also changed the mode of payment.
