Describing the new initiative of the Punjab government named as Ehsaas Rashan Online Portal, it can be pointed out that now poor people of the province will be able to receive rations worth Rs 4,500 free of cost. This scheme has been introduced after the Benazir Income Support Program under which an amount of Rs 2,000 of food ration was provided monthly to the targeted beneficiaries. It is tailored for the families who have difficulties to feed themselves providing them staples such as flour, ghee, and sugar.
When the inflation rate increased along with several economic hurdles, fresh for the poor and needy, the Ehsaas Rashan Program recommenced from Eid 2024. As with this program, the people registered under the Benazir Income Support Program get 40% subsidy while others are able to get a 20% subsidy on these relative goods.
Registration Procedure for Ehsaas Rashan Online Portal
To register for the Ehsaas Rashan Program, follow these steps:
- Sent a message to 8123.
- Mention your CNIC number along with the message that you want to send to the desired number.
- Make sure the message is sent from the registered sim card with you.
- Possible after July 11, 2024 in beneficiaries dependent on the decision of the committee.
